Mr. DeMuth specializes in the research and analysis of growth companies within the energy, materials and processing, basic industries, and aerospace and defense-related sectors for all Mazama strategies. Mr. DeMuth has over 20 years experience as an investment professional. He began his career as a financial analyst with Petro-Lewis and then at Conoco. In 1988, he founded D&B Financial, a Registered Investment Adviser specializing in freelance, small cap sell-side research. Mr. DeMuth joined the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association in 1992 as an analyst and portfolio manager. Prior to joining Mazama, Mr. DeMuth was a senior vice president and senior portfolio manager with AIM Capital Management, where he co-developed and managed several mutual funds. He earned an MBA with Oil and Gas emphasis from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Management with a minor in Economics from Colorado State University. He received a Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1994.
